West Central District Health Department (WCDHD) is excited to expand our work family and is seeking a Full-Time Public Health Nurse. Applicant must hold a current and active license in the State of Nebraska as a Registered Nurse.
The Public Health Nurse is responsible for administering immunizations, laboratory services, care provider physicals, foster grandparent physicals, school health screenings, and providing other services during clinic hours, as well as assisting where needed with all aspects of the clinic services offered by West Central District Health Department (WCDHD). This position monitors the distribution of the immunizations; educates and confirms patient medical history with the patient/guardians/parents; as well as abides by all WCDHD Policy and Procedures and the Nebraska State Immunization Program Manual when utilizing state and private immunizations and supplies. This position will also assist with various projects as assigned by the Executive Director and/or Coordinated Services Director.
