  • Bilingual Public Health Receptionist

    The Bilingual Public Health Receptionist attends to the needs of WCDHD clients on the information, payments, and insurance billing to facilitate the efficient running of the public health service offices. This position is also responsible for professionally handling front desk operations to include but not limited to patient registration, answering incoming calls and other e phone and in person; coordinates and organizes appointments, insurance related clerical functions; assists with public health data entry, as needed; balancing daily collections, addressing routine inquiries, and forwarding non-routine requests to appropriate personnel. The Public Health Receptionist represents WCDHD in a professional manner and follows all WCDHD policies and procedures. Assists with the inventory and maintenance of business office supplies and the completion of business office reports.

    Travel may be required for all job duties above.

  • Community Health Nurse

    West Central District Health Department (WCDHD) is looking to expand our work family and is seeking a Community Health Nurse. Applicant must hold a current and active license in the State of Nebraska as a Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse.

    The Community Health Nurse is responsible for administering immunizations, laboratory services, care provider physicals, foster grandparent physicals, school health screenings, and providing other services during clinic hours, as well as assisting where needed with all aspects of the clinic services offered by West Central District Health Department (WCDHD). This position monitors the distribution of the immunizations; educates and confirms patient medical history with the patient/guardians/parents; as well as abides by all WCDHD Policy and Procedures and the Nebraska State Immunization Program Manual when utilizing state and private immunizations and supplies. This position will also assist with various projects as assigned by the Executive Director and/or Coordinated Services Director.
